3. During stressful situations – cultivate the habit of taking deep breaths and exhaling slowly. Listen to your heart beat. This will help you from panicking. When you are calm, you can focus on the matter at hand and make a logical decision.

4. Incorporate time out moments in your workday. Whether it just to answer personal emails during your lunch break, or to go over your grocery list. These are good ways to remind you that you have other things going on in life.

5. Take a shower or soak in the bathtub, and use this time to mentally review the day’s events. Be honest but gentle with yourself as you reflect. There is always tomorrow, to improve on this day’s decisions.
